Oktoberfest Returns to Athens: A Celebration of Beer and Culture

Athens is gearing up to welcome the popular Oktoberfest Athens 2024, set to take place on October 3, 4, 5, and 6 at the OSY Depot (Old Depot) in Gazi, with the support of the Athens Street Food Festival.

Following last year’s tremendous success, where all tickets were sold out before the festival even began, the organizers promise an even more impressive experience this year. Indeed, Oktoberfest boasts a long history, having started in Munich in 1810, and now attracts over 6 million visitors annually, evolving into the largest folk festival on the planet.

This year, the world’s biggest beer festival and Greece’s largest food festival join forces for the second time, promising four days filled with abundant German beer. Special limited-edition barrels will be brought to Athens from Bavaria, exclusively for the Paulaner Oktoberfest of Athens.

Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy all the essential elements that make Oktoberfest so unique: traditional German cuisine, traditional German costumes, and live music from well-known radio producers. Additionally, there will be stand-up artists and many more surprises.

Interested parties can secure their tickets early through online pre-sale, not only to guarantee their entry to the festival but also to receive the collectible Oktoberfest Athens 2024 glass for free.

The festival will operate on Thursday and Friday from 17:00 to 00:00, and on Saturday and Sunday from 14:00 to 00:00. Tickets cost 6 euros and include the festival’s collectible glass.
